Criteria For Membership

Although it’s free and easy to become a member, we are only looking for professional guides and charter boat captains. We have established criteria to become a HireAFishingGuide.com member.

Insurance.

Members must carry liability insurance and keep it in good standing.  Click here if you do not have insurance.

Licensing.

Members must have a current guide or captains license issued by the state or U.S. Coast Guard where required by law.  (Not all states or waters require a license.)

Professionalism.

Members must meet the clients on time, with effective equipment, a well maintained boat, and be prepared to put the client's needs first.

Your Rates.

You cannot charge HireAFishingGuide.com's anglers more than your advertised rate.  The fee we charge you is in lieu of other advertising expenditures.
